Dillon Turns 5!!!!!

Hooray for Dillon's Birthday!!!

We had a great day busy and full of super fun things to do!
Dillon started his day by going to a place called RideMakerz
with daddy and uncle Jesse. It's kinda like build a bear workshop
only you design and customize your own remote control car.
He picked everything out and even got to help a bit.

Here he is doing something with a screwdriver.

He picked out the tires with the blue on the bottoms.

Now he puts on the stickers...he chose police ones.

Finished product. It's a yellow Corvette with police
stickers.

Next we headed to a place called Cracker Jax. There is a
ton of fun things to do there.

Go Karts!

Go Dillon Go!

Taya is waving at him as he goes around!

Bumper Boats!

Watch out for the waterfall!
After some fun we went inside to a table and he opened his
presents.

Here's his awesome remote control.

A wonderful group of spectators!

Super awesome Fire Truck!

Legos!

Transformers books!
These next few are him opening the best gift ever!

Tearing off the corner...

What's it gonna be?...

Hooray! It's a big lego semi truck! He was sooo excited
and happy he kept hugging the box!

Taya was so good and patient to just sit and watch.
She really wanted to help open. Aunt Jaymie gave
her some M&Ms so it was all good!

What a cheeser!

After presents we went mini golfing!

Hole in one?!

Taya had fun carrying the club around and her
pink ball.

Here are the golfing beauties! (good job Dillon,
taking the pic)

More Go Karts!

He loved driving the kart!

Spectators.

Let's try the green kart.

Here he is the big 5!

Finally we went and played in the arcade.
Dillon loved playing air hockey!
After Cracker Jax we went to Pizza Hut for birthday
dinner. Dillon chose it because he loves the cheesy
breadsticks! It was delicious!

Then back home to have cake. This is Dillon's cake...
Transformers!!! It's hard to see but the cars are all
Transformers. If they are standing up you can see the
robot guy on the bottom.

He was very proud of his cake!

Blowing out the candles!

Here's our sweet boy! I can't believe he is 5. He's getting so
big. We love having Dillon in our family! He is smart, independent,
driven, funny, and very handsome! He is such a good helper!
We love you Dillon and hope you had a great day!
I shot some footage of him driving the Go Kart...

Dillon's Final Soccer Game

Dillon played his final soccer game of the Winter
season last week! He is actually going to play again
in the Spring season so stay tuned!

Here he is ready to go!

Not sure what they are doing here...

Action shot...running!

Action shot...kick!

Almost scored a goal!

Hooray!!! Grandma Janet was able to come cheer him on!

Here's the group of spectators...Coach (Mike) was on the sideline
because he just had knee surgery the day before! (All is well, he had
some miniscus cleaned out and the recovery has been pretty easy.)

Refueling after the game.

Taya needed a drink as well.
We had so much fun watching Dillon play and learn and progress
we look forward to another great season!
Go Dillon!

Phoenix Zoo with Grandpa Randy!

Grandpa Randy spent the weekend with us! He had a conference
in Phoenix during the week and then spent the weekend with us!
(Yes, this is still old news, this was in Feb.) But still we had a great time!
Dillon has been begging to go to the Zoo for weeks so we thought this
would be a great time to go!

At the Petting Zoo:

Dillon is just like his mother...scared of animals. (I told Mike
that it's his job to make sure Dillon gets over this because, as
you can see, I am no where near the animals.) :)

Taya on the other hand isn't quite as nervous. She just gets
more nervous because she sees Dillon being scared.

I love this pic because it just shows how nervous he is.

He's branching out...

Taya found a brush so she is good.

Love this one! Here's my brave boy!

All was well unless the goat started to move!
Oh well, it's all fun!

Taya just wasn't sure!

Here we are with one of Dillon's and my favorite animal. (One
that isn't alive!)

Elephant!

Okay this pic is hilarious but the story is: I asked Taya what
her favorite animal is and she said "pink one". So I had to get
a pic with her and the flamingos. Yes, those are flamingos back by
the wall. :)

Dillon's favorite is always the Rhino.

Taya on the Carousel.

Dillon on the Carousel.
We had a great visit with Grandpa Randy. We also went out
to eat and played a bunch! Thanks for the great time! We love
you!

Mike's 30th Birthday!

Okay, okay so this is a little late news but better late than never!
Right?!

Mike turned 30 on January 25!

I decorated the house, then Jesse and Jaymie came over and
stayed with the kids while Mike and I went out to dinner.

When we came back from dinner it was time for presents.
Dillon got Mike this...it's a cardboard box car filled with
transformer stickers. Dillon was hoping that daddy would
share!

The best gift was one I ordered online but came a few days late.
It's a giant PEZ dispenser! Shaped like Yoda and yes it plays
Star Wars music!

So awesome! I was so excited to give it to him I could
hardly stand it! It was the perfect gift!

Such a cute pic of Dillon and his cousin Henslee.

Taya saying "cheese".

Here's the cake...bet you can't guess who decorated it?!

Happy Birthday Mike! I love you so much! You are such a great
dad and hubby! We don't know what we'd do without you!
